Public Service Residential Community
The Public Service Residential Community (PSRC) is a group of 30 first year students who live on the 3rd floor of Barnes Hall. This community of students share a common passion for service, volunteerism, and being the change they wish to see in the world. The students in the PSRC put on and sponsor service events for the campus and Mt. Pleasant communities, take classes together, award grant money to non-profit organizations, and are educated on social issues such as hunger and homelessness, at-risk youth, environmental conservation, and many more through strong active service. With the opportunity to be directly connected to the CMU Volunteer Center, several non-profit organizations, along with supportive mentors and faculty members the PSRC creates advocates in the community that strive to achieve social justice. The combination of living in a positive upbeat community, a supportive environment, and several active service learning opportunities the PSRC ensures a formula for a smooth successful transition to your new home, Central Michigan University.
The PSRC is now accepting applications for the Student Advisor Position. Applications are due February 3 by 5:00 pm. To apply, please review the directions as listed on the PSRC_Student_Assistant_Job_Description_and_Application
